The Marquesan sculptors are known for their Tiki sculptures, but many other objects are carved in the finest woods (Oceanic rosewood, Oceanic walnut, mahogany to name but a few). Thus we can find magnificent pieces such as decorative paddles and oars, masks, umete (hollow dishes), jewelry boxes and many other pieces.
